The National Center for Missing Adults (NCMA) was formally established after the passage of Kristen’s Law (H.R. 2780) by the 106th United States Congress on October 26th, 2000 (S11181). As directed by H.R. 2780, NCMA operates as the national clearinghouse for missing adults, providing services and coordination between various government agencies, law enforcement, media, and most importantly - the families of missing adults. NCMA also maintains a national database of missing adults determined to be "endangered" or otherwise at-risk.

Being a board member I was recently notified that our agency is at risk itself! Funding both restricted and other have been limited and during the disaster of last year “Katrina” we depleted our reserves in an effort to successfully reunite over twelve thousand missing adults. Just weeks ago more then half our staff was released do to lack of funding and today I write asking for your help. Not for help with my program but for your help in getting our agency back on its feet.

The agency needs your consideration for a tax deductible donation, we gladly will except your gracious donation by mail or online, knowing that every dollar sent by you will go directly for services to families with missing loved ones should be very gratifying and I wish I had a gift other then my personal thank you but this isn’t a marketing strategy and we are in serious need of your help.
