IRWINDALE SPEEDWAY RACING TO BE FEATURED ON VERSUS NETWORK’S LUCAS OIL MOTOR SPORTS HOUR

IRWINDALE, California -- Selected Irwindale Speedway races including this Saturday’s (April 7) ACDelco Super Late Model race will be aired on Versus Network’s Lucas Oil Motorsports Hour. The television broadcast package is part of a sponsorship program between Corona, Calif. based Lucas Oil Products and Irwindale Speedway, which is located in Los Angeles (Calif.) County and hosts a variety of racing activities including the Whelen All-American NASCAR Weekly Racing Series.

Three Super Late Model races, with the option of a fourth race, will be broadcast on a tape delayed basis beginning with Saturday’s race which is scheduled to air on May 5 at 3:30 p.m. ET. Other races to be aired on Versus include May 26 (broadcast on June 23 at 3:30 p.m. ET) and June 16 (broadcast on July 15 at 1:30 p.m. ET). Broadcast dates and times are subject to change.

A total of five races including the ACDelco Super Late Model race comprise Saturday’s race schedule. David Beat of Blossom Valley, Calif. looks to improve upon his victory in the Super Late Model division’s season opener on March 24 when he took advantage of lapped traffic late in the race to edge Dan Moore of Burbank, Calif. for the win.

Thanks to an impressive win in the season opening race on March 24, Joe Herold of Poway, Calif. will attempt to maintain his position on top of the early season King Taco Super Trucks point standings.

Reigning champion Tyler Rogers won last week’s Justice Brothers Mini Stock Division season opener. The Riverside, Calif. resident has accumulated seven wins in his last eleven races.

The BG Products Pure Stock season kicks off Saturday night with reigning champion Rick Crow of Simi Valley, Calif. looking to extend a nine-race win streak dating back to last season. The Pure Stock competitors will close out the evening’s schedule with a Figure 8 race.

Auto Club of Southern California members receive a 10% discount off of the purchase of up to four (4) adult general admission tickets for Saturday oval racing when they show their AAA membership card. Auto Club members can also receive discounts on special offers at the concession and souvenir stands.
