TOYOTA SPEEDWAY AT IRWINDALE RACE RESULTS

Here are the race results from TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale for Saturday, April 26, 2008:

King Taco Super Trucks

Poway’s Joe Herold took over the lead on lap 21 and never looked back winning Saturday’s (April 26) King Taco Super Truck race at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Herold’s victory gave him the lead in the division standings after previous leader Conner Cantrell retired from the race with a mechanical problem. Defending series champion Pat Mintey Jr of Quartz Hill finished second 1.074 seconds behind the winner and Todd Cameron of Monrovia finished third. Twenty-four Super Trucks competed in the 40 lap race.

Justice Brothers Mini Stocks

Tyler Rogers of Riverside took over the lead from brother Jacob Rogers and went on to win Saturday’s (April 26) Justice Brothers Mini Stock race at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Rich Garver of Torrance finished second, 0.528 seconds behind the winner with Jacob Rogers finishing third. Daryl Scoggins (Sunland) who won the season opener on April 12 finished 4th. Eighteen cars competed in the 35 lap race.

Auto Club Late Models

Andrew Myers of Huntington Beach held off Nick Joanides on the final three laps to win Saturday’s (April 26) Auto Club Late Model division 50 lap feature race at TOYOTA Speedway in Irwindale. Myers scored his 4th consecutive win of the season beating Joanides to the finish line by 0.342 seconds. Rookie Colin Fleming of San Diego finished third among the thirty two car field. Defending champion Tim Huddleston of Agoura Hills had a mechanical and finished 22nd.

Pure Stocks

Mike Colato Jr. of Chatsworth won his first ever Pure Stocks division feature race Saturday (April 26) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale with a 3.378 second margin of victory over Ken Michaelian of Lawndale. David Foster of riverside finished third in the 30 lap race.

Anderson Windows & Doors 100 Flashco SRL Series

Jim Pettit II of Prunedale held off Rip Michels (San Fernando) challenge during the later stages of the race but used lapped traffic in the final laps to cushion his lead to win the Andersen Windows 100 SRL series race at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Michels finished second, 1.291 seconds behind the winner. Craig Raudman of Cottonwood finished third. Twenty four cars competed in the 100 lap race.
