![]() Here are the race results from TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale for Saturday, June 28:
D&D Construction Bandoleros
Twelve year old Aaron Anderson of Lancaster won the Bandoleros division 20 lap feature race Saturday night (June 28) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. The victory was Anderson’s third in as many races. Misty Balser of Acton finished in second place and Andrew Porter of LaVerne finished in third.
King Taco Super Trucks
Seventeen year old Conner Cantrell of Valencia won the King Taco Super Trucks 40 lap feature race in spectacular fashion Saturday night (June 28) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Cantrell started 6th and challenged Pat Mintey Jr of Quartz Hill for the lead during the later portion of the race. Cantrell finally caught Mintey on the outside line on the final lap coming out of turn four. As they approached the finish line Cantrell got between the wall and Mintey with both drivers bumping at the finish line. Cantrell edged Mintey by 0.024 seconds for his 4th victory of the season. Mintey leads the division point standings and finished second while Joe Herold of Poway finished third.
Justice Brothers Mini Stocks
Jacob Rogers of Riverside won the Justice Brothers Mini Stock 35 lap feature race Saturday night (June 28) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Rogers win was his first ever in Mini Stock division competition edging Rich Garver of Torrance at the finish line by 0.213 seconds. Garver’s second place finish assured him of taking over the division points lead from Daryl Scoggins of Sunland who encountered mechanical problems and finished in 14th place. Dennis Croasman of Alta Loma finished third.
ACDelco Super Late Models
Division points leader Nick Joanides of Woodland Hills started 8th, took over the lead on lap 7 and shook off the challenge of Travis Thirkettle to win the NASCAR ACDelco Super Late Model division 50 lap feature race at Toyota Speedway in Irwindale. The victory was Joanides second consecutive victory and 7th of the season. Thirkettle of Newhall finished in second, 0.718 behind Joanides. Jason Patison of Corona finished third.
Demolition Derby
Dan Pachella of Signal Hill won the Demolition Derby on Saturday night (June 28) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. James Altman of Wildomar finished in second place and Jack Steiner of Riverside finished third. Ten vehicles competed in the competition.
