NSCS HONORS RACERS AT BANQUET

Champion, Mike Doss, received a champion's Air Vapor helmet from Impact and Fensler Racing Inc. to go along with his $4,280 from the points fund. He and car owner Jim Stillman Sr. also received NSCS champion's jackets and a $250 gift certificate from Weld Wheels. In a drawing, Doss won a certificate for 50% off a new body from series sponsor Five-Star. Including purse money, owner bonus money, and the points fund money, Doss and his Stillman Racing team earned a total of $15,660.

2004 champ Bill Binns finished second and earned a $4,440 share of the points fund. When added to his winnings of $9,350, he and his B.A.D. Racing team pocketed $13,790 for the season. He also took home a pair of Impact racing gloves from Fensler Racing Inc.

Derek Thorn earned $3,280 for his third place finish and added $300 for most fast times (6) and $500 when he was named Rookie of the Year, bringing his total earnings to $13,690. Goodyear tire supplier Tom Elam also gave him a nice Goodyear jacket for being Rookie of the Year.

Josh Bews was awarded $3,560 for his fourth place finish, bringing his season total to $10,500 for his JB Racing team. Josh also collected a 50% off certificate for a Five-Star body.

Junior Roddy earned $3,110 from the points fund, for his fifth place finish, tallying $9,525 for the season. He also won a Goodyear jacket from Tom Elam and $200 for being the Hard Charger of the season. In addition, Roddy received a special honor for his continued support of the series, the Iron Man trophy. Roddy has not missed a race in over four years and he and his crew were very pleased to accept the award!

The series paid $120,000 in purses and a total of $27,490 from the points fund. The money paid out to competitors totaled $155,257. Over $5,000 in prizes were handed out in the banquet raffle.
