LINE-UP SET FOR RACE OF CHAMPIONS AT NORTHWEST MODIFIED NATIONALS.

To qualify for the event a driver has to have been a “Ship Wreck Beads” Northwest Modified champion, a Modified track champion at their home track or have won a feature race in the “Modifieds” class this year.

The field is packed with the best of the best in Washington, Oregon, California and Canada. Three former Northwest Modifieds champions, Gus Cooper of Creswell, Or. winner of the inaugural Northwest Modifieds race, Medford, Or. in 2000, Brian Poppa, 2001 and Jon DeBenedetti, the only driver to win consecutive “Ship Wreck Beads” championships.

Joining the field will be former Grays Harbor Raceway champions, Scott Miller of Shelton, WA. 2000, 2004 and 2005, Craig Moore of Seabeck, WA 2001 and defending Grays Harbor and Yakima champion, Blair Shoemaker.

Coming up from California will be Randy McDaniel and his son Ryan from Marysville while coming south of the border will be Lawrence O’Connor of Port Hardy and Jason Beaulieu of Campbell River, British Columbia.

The field will be rounded out with a slew of Oregon drivers, Jason Kocks and Jessie Williamson of Eugene, Craig Hanson of Albany, Braedon Hand, Cottage Grove, Tom Glover, Medford, Scott Lenz, Shady Grove, Aaron Sheeler, Springfield, Scott Dorie St Helens and Dan Fox Warren.

Gates will open at 5:00 P.M. with racing around 8:00 P.M.
