KELLY MANN MASTERS MONROE

The Northwest's biggest racetrack, the .646 mile-oval at Evergreen, was busy with Saturday night racing action once again. In the final big track race before next weeks Wired X Energy Drink 150, Kelly Mann showed up and as usual was an instant favorite to win. John Zaretzke closed to threaten Mann but mechanical problems relegated him to the pits. A late caution set up a thrilling finish to an already spectacular main event. Lex Johnson made a last lap move in turn one on Defending two-time champion Shane Harding that also helped the fast moving Rob Touchette. In the end Mann drove to victory followed by Johnson and Touchette.

Mini Stocks raced without defending champion Mark Weedin who experienced mechanical difficulties earlier in the day. Chuck Richard extended his lead for the track championship, but the night belonged to Brent Rohrer. Brent Rohrer roared to the front of the big Mini Stock field and held off Scott Powell who had his best run of the year.

In a edge of your seat hard fought Super Figure Eight main event, Eventually Ricky "The Kid" Deitz beat "The Cowboy" John Carlson.
