DAVIS STINGS THE COMPETITION AT SOUTH SOUND SPEEDWAYSOUTH SOUND SPEEDWAY

The Lacey Auto Wrecking Bumblebees top three in Heat 1 were winner #57 Ron Anctil, Eric Franson, and Kyle Matthews. The top three in Heat 2 were winner #8 Brad Newburg, Craig Huffman, and John Davis. The Chehalis, Washington’s #24 Jeff Elliott brought the field around for the start of the race, but it was Chehalis, Washington’s #80 John Davis leading the first lap. Davis went on to win by leading every lap of the Bumblebee’s 20-Lap Main Event. Rounding out their top five were runner up Huffman, Zach Floreck, Anctil, and Newburg. The Northwest Baby Grands saw Puyallup, Washington’s #43 Steven Roberts setting fast time with a 15.186. Finishing first, second, and third respectively in their Heat race were Roberts, Cody Stewart, and Brooke Lefor. Puyallup, Washington’s #33 Lefor brought the field around for the start of the race and lead the first four laps. On lap five, with a move to the inside, Roberts took over the lead and went on to win the 15-Lap Baby Grand Main Event. Rounding out their top four were runner up Stewart, Lefor, and Brandon Barlow. The Foreign Stock Car Racing Association Super 4’s saw Rochester, Washington’s #5 Wayne Dillon setting fast time with a 14.778. Their top three in the A-Heat were winner #10 Jeff Jones, Craig Forney, and Kevin Koepke. The top three in their B-Heat were winner #22 David Callender, Ted Mundy, and Jerry Koepping. North Bend, Washington’s #21 Koepping, brought the field around for the green flag, but it was the #14 Mundy leading laps 1-10. Then Jones took the lead for the next two laps. On lap 13, Dillon made a winning pass for the lead and never looked back. Dillon led the final 18 laps and went on to win the FSCRA Super 4’s 30-Lap Main Event. Rounding out their top five were runner up Jones, Matt Melby, Koepke, and Forney. The Washington Midget Racing Association was at South Sound Speedway for their fourth scheduled race of the season and saw Portland, Oregon’s #8 Spence Gatrell setting fast time with a 13.233. The top three in their A-Heat were winner #55 Snake Livernash, Evan Margeson, and Brad Curtis. The top three in their B-Heat were winner #14 Ken Muth, Chris Peterson, and Brea Lopez. Spanaway, Washington’s Livernash brought the field around for the start of the race and led the first lap, but on lap two, Tacoma, Washington’s #50 Evan Margeson made a pass for the lead and went on to win the WMRA’s 50-Lap Main Event. Rounding out their top five were Curtis, Livernash, Dallas Melby, and Lopez. The Winged Sprint Cars saw Sumner, Washington’s #15 Craig Deaver setting fast time with a 12.383. The top three in their A-Heat were winner Deaver, Glenn Walker, and Rally Root. The top three in their B-Heat were winner #19X Kyle Secord, Doug McLees, and Kirk Eklund. Rochester, Washington’s #57 Jim Walker brought the field around for the start, but it was Secord leading the first five laps. Deaver made a pass to the outside on lap six and went on to win the Sprints 30-Lap Main Event. Rounding out their top five were runner up McLees, Walker, Randy Anderson, and Richard Harriman. Racing returns to South Sound Speedway on Saturday, August 4, 2007 with the Limited Late Models, Vintage Modifieds, Vintage Sprint Cars, Pure Stocks, and the Mini Cup/Future Stars.
