ERIC RICHARDSON AND THE #50 GREEN FROG ROASTING COMPANY.COM TEAM EXCITED ABOUT THE NASCAR TOYOTA ALL-STAR SHOWDOWN

ANTELOPE, California – The NASCAR Grand National Division West Series season may be over as far as running for the series championship title but that doesn’t mean that the #50 Green Frog Roasting Company.com team from Bill McAnally Racing is done racing in 2007. The team with rookie driver Eric Richardson is looking forward to the 5th annual NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown on October 19-20 at Irwindale Speedway. The team finished their rookie season tenth in the point standings with over 75 drivers competing in the 2007 season.

“I’m looking forward to this great event,” said Richardson. “The NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown is our ‘Super Bowl’. I’ve seen the commercials for it so I just get more and more excited the closer the weekend gets.”

The race will feature the best racers from not only the West Series but also the Busch East Series. Also invited are the champions from the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour, the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, the NASCAR Mexico Series and the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. Drivers will have to qualify for the race and are only locked into a starting position if they have won a race in the NGND this season or have won their series championship.

“I think it will be very tough to secure a starting position,” continued Richardson. “Not many people understand how tough the competition is within this series and when we combine the East with the West, it just gets that much harder. Our crew chief Roger Bracken and the whole #50 team from BMR seem to do very well in these combined races so I think we will have a strong run.”

The NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown will be televised live on SPEED Channel beginning on October 19th thru the 20th with the main event scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm PST. Please check your local listings.
