ASA SPEED TRUCK TO SHOWCASE OPENING OF AAPEX “GREEN ZONE”IN LAS VEGAS

UPLAND, California – President of the ASA Speed Truck Challenge, Jay Rutherford, stated today that the Donny St. Ours #16 Greg Biffle, Inc. Driver Development Chevy Colorado Speed Truck will be in a special display area located in the Venetian Ballroom at the entrance of the Auto Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) trade show in Las Vegas on October 31st through November 2nd.

In recognition of all the various auto related companies now participating in going “green” with their various products and manufacturing, the AAPEX show in Las Vegas will feature products that repair shops and retailers can sell to consumers to help their vehicles to be more efficient and environmentally friendly. Tools and diagnostic equipment used to repair alternative fuel vehicles, suppliers that recycle waste or remanufacture parts, and suppliers of environmentally-friendly aftermarket parts will be highlighted. Exhibitors will feature their company’s green practices at the show, including environmentally-friendly manufacturing processes and training programs to encourage employees to be environmentally responsible.

The 8-time Karting Champion Donny St. Ours show truck utilized in the opening of the “Green Zone” at AAPEX is painted fluorescent green and will be the perfect eye opener to showcase this new addition to the annual show. AAPEX is held during the Specialty Equipment Marketing Association (SEMA) and Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week (AAIW) in Las Vegas and is reserved for automotive industry professionals. No other trade event or trade show offers as many qualified buyers and distributors form all segments of the automotive aftermarket. More than 115,300 professionals attended the 2006 show and more than 51,500 of those were buyers with purchasing power. More than 2,067 exhibitors displayed their products at AAPEX, the Automotive Aftermarket Event of the Year.
