ASC RACING ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE FOR 2008 SEASON

PHOENIX, Arizona -- ASC Racing Series today released its schedule for the 2008 season. The opening race will take place in Phoenix, AZ at Phoenix International Raceway on February 16-17, 2008.

In another effort to expand the series profile in the Southwest, a new ASC Racing Series event at Miller Motorsports Park set for the middle of June will mark the first time in the history of the Series that their stockcar teams travel to Utah.

“We want to continue expanding our series to new venues. There is a lot of interest in learning more about our unique formula that combines traditional stockcars in road course configuration and the best way to showcase and promote our Series is to race at venues where other drivers and fans can see our cars compete in person,” said Manuel Gil del Real, ASC Racing General Manager.

The ASC Racing Series 2008 season will feature nine events at eight different tracks, four of them (PIR, California Speedway, Infineon Raceway and Miller Motorsports Park) also part of NASCAR’s Grand National West regular season schedule. “We welcome any race teams from any other stockcar series that want to join us at any of our events. Our ASC-Unlimited class was created just for that reason; to allow teams to practice with us in full race trim without any modifications to their racecars,” added Gil del Real.

The complete 2008 ASC Racing Series schedule is as follows:

• Phoenix International Raceway: February 16-17
• Buttonwillow Raceway Park: March 15-16
• Willow Springs Int’l Raceway: April 5-6
• Thunderhill Raceway Park: May 24-25
• Miller Motorsports Park: June 14-15
• California Speedway: July 12-13
• Infineon Raceway: August 30-31
• Willow Springs Int’l Raceway: September 27-28
• Las Vegas Motor Speedway Road Course: Oct 18-19

ASC Racing provides a venue for late model stock cars similar to those used in NASCAR, Southwest Tour, Grand National, ASA and other series to compete on some of the best road courses in the United States. The series was designed to bring the speed and passion of stock car racing to a level where drivers and teams without large budgets can afford to field competitive cars.
