WESTCAR LATE MODEL SERIES SETS COMPETITOR MEETING

GRIDLEY, California – The Eldorado Westcar Late Model Series will hold its 2008 meeting on Saturday, December 15th, at 1 p.m. at Mountain Mikes Pizza in Roseville, CA.

Competitors, sponsors, and crew members are encouraged to attend to learn more about the exciting 2008 Eldorado Westcar Series that is being planned.

As the series prepares to embark on its fourth season, racers will be competing primarily at the Altamont Motorsports Park in Tracy, CA. A large number of rounds will be held at the fast half-mile asphalt oval that is managed by Westcar co-promoter Jeff Macey.

Several other exciting announcements will be made at the meeting.

The meeting comes weeks before the 2007 Championship Awards banquet, which will be held January 5th, 2008. The banquet will be held at the Eldorado Hotel Casino in Reno, NV.

At the banquet, the series will honor champion Jarred Beddow of Roseville, CA, who won the series title in his rookie season.

About Westcar: The Westcar Series was started in late 2004 in Northern California by Phil Perry of Perry Race Cars and Jeff Macey of JME, who looked to create a solid touring series for weekly-type Western Late Models. This series became the Eldorado Westcar Late Model Series, which concluded its third season in 2007.
