2007 CHAMPIONSHIP BANQUET UPCOMING FOR WESTCAR AND ALTAMONT TICKET ORDER DEADLINE SOON

Ticket order deadline has been extended to December 31st.

More than 230 people have purchased tickets to attend the championship banquet, which will honor six champions. Altamont champions Ryan Philpott, Tony Noceti, James Dulla, Ron Robeck, and Debbie Foreman will be joined by Westcar Series champion Jarred Beddow in the awards program.

Championship trophies and awards payouts will total more than $40,000, including a 100% payback of all 2007 tire monies.

The event will feature food options of chicken, beef, or vegetarian.

Eldorado Hotel Casino in Reno, NV is Reno’s premiere resort casino, and was named best by Poker Player Magazine. Eldorado is a proud supporter of grassroots motorsports and is completing its first season partnered with Altamont and Westcar.

Altamont Motorsports Park, the West’s fastest half-mile asphalt oval, and Westcar Series, the West Coast’s Premiere Late Model Series, will continue to forge a close relationship as the 2008 season commences in April.

Tickets can be purchased individually for $49.00. Banquet and room packages start at $149.00 single or $199.00 double. Reservations may be made until December 31st to track and series President Jeff Macey at (530) 846-4545.

About Westcar: The Westcar Series was started in late 2004 in Northern California by Phil Perry of Perry Race Cars and Jeff Macey of JME, who looked to create a solid touring series for weekly-type Western Late Models. About Altamont: Altamont Motorsports Park is a multi-venue facility located in Tracy, CA, owned by Riverside Motorsports Park. Altamont features a half-mile NASCAR- and USAC-sanctioned asphalt oval, with an interior quarter-mile and 1.1 mile road course. It was renovated in winter 2006.
