MAC’S CONVENIENCE STORES, CIRCLE K STORES PARTNER WITH ARCA WEST

“We are pleased to partner with a retailer the caliber of Mac’s Convenience Stores/Circle K stores,” said Richard Michaud, president of ARCA West. “We strongly feel that having a partnership of this magnitude under the ARCA banner will produce positive results for both entities.”

Both Mac’s Convenience Stores and Circle K are subsidiaries of Alimentation Couche Tard, which is the fourth largest convenience retailer in North America operating a network of more than 5,600 stores across Canada and the United States.

"From a company standpoint, this certainly shows that we are serious about our involvement in motorsports and the connection between Mac's/Circle K Stores and race fans,” said Ron Thompson, Marketing Manager for Mac’s Western Division. “We value the patronage our stores receive from the race teams and fans."

Schedules for the 2008 ARCA West Mac’s/Circle K Challenge Series will be released in full in the coming weeks and is expected to include standalone events in Canada and the U.S., as well as a number of companion events.

The ARCA West Mac’s/Circle K Late Model Challenge Series feature template bodied, straight rail late models with drivers from throughout the Pacific Northwest and Canada competing in a fast, fun and affordable touring series. The series is a licensee of the nationally-based Automobile Racing Club of America and provides a West coast connection to the ARCA Sanctioning body. The 2008 season marks the debut of the sanction’s Canadian tour, as ARCA West recently partnered with the former NEWALTA Late Model Challenge Series, the largest touring stock car series in Western Canada.
