MOMS GET IN FREE THIS SATURDAY NIGHT AT TOYOTA SPEEDWAY AT IRWINDALE

IRWINDALE, California – In celebration of Mother’s Day, all Moms will be admitted for free when attending this Saturday’s (May 10 ) NASCAR Whelen All-American Weekly racing series event at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Also, the first 500 Moms entering the admission gate will receive a pink TOYOTA Speedway cap.
Moms will also have the opportunity to participate in contests to win some great prizes courtesy of the Southern California Toyota Dealers Association, area merchants, the Speedway and some of its corporate sponsors.
Four races headline the evening’s racing schedule including the Auto Club Late Models, Justice Brothers Mini Stocks, Pure Stocks and the K&N USAC Ford Focus Midgets.
Entering Saturday’s Late Model race, Andrew Myers of Huntington Beach is riding a four-race win streak marking the fastest start for any driver in division competition at the Speedway. In the last race on April 26, Myers beat Nick Joanides of Woodland hills to the finish line by 0.342 seconds. Joanides occupies second place in the standings trailing Myers by 12 points.
The Justice Brothers Mini Stocks division returns to action with Daryl Scoggins of Sunland on top of the standings (94 points) with a slim two point lead over Jacob Rogers (Riverside) and Rich Garver (Torrance). Each driver has 92 points. Defending division champion Tyler Rogers won the last race on April 26 after taking over the race lead from his brother Jacob Rogers.
Defending division champion Jeff Elder of Redlands leads the standings (126 points) going into Saturday’s Pure Stocks racing action with a two point lead over Ron Davis (Norwalk) and Chad Kelly (Calabasas), each with 124 points. Mike Colato Jr. of Chatsworth notched his first ever division victory in the last race on April 26.
The K&N Filters USAC Ford Focus Midgets makes its third visit of the season on the one-third mile oval. Justin Hommel leads the California Pavement Series with 342 points and Ian Mille is in second place with 304 points.
Spectator gates open and qualifying begin at 4 PM. The King Taco fan appreciation autograph session with drivers, crews and cars will take place on the track beginning at 5:45 PM. Green flag racing action begins at 7 PM.

Tickets are on sale for TOYOTA Speedway’s July 4 and August 16 events featuring the NASCAR Camping World West Series 200 lap races. The July 4th event includes the Auto Club Late Model Firecracker 100 and an Independence Day fireworks show. The August 16 event includes Auto Club Late Model and King Taco Super Truck division races. Ticket prices for both events are $35.00 for reserved seats, $15.00 for adult general admission, and $7.50 for youngsters ages 6-12. Youngsters five and under are admitted for free.

Auto Club of Southern California members receive a 10% discount off of the purchase of up to four (4) adult general admission tickets for Saturday oval track races when they show their AAA membership card.
