O'CONNELL RACING HEADS NORTH TO LAGUNA SECA FOR RUM BUM.COM 250

ORANGE COUNTY, California -- O'Connell Racing (OConnellRacing.com), a southern California based Grand-Am Rolex Series and NASCAR road racing team announced today the team's entry into the Rum Bum.com 250 to be held at the historic Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in scenic Monterrey, California. The team will campaign it's General Environmental Mgmt/Taleo Grill Porsche 997 GT-3 in the Rolex Series race. Team drivers Kevin O'Connell and Kevin Roush will co-drive for the race. Roush commented, " We had a high speed push at Mexico City that persisted the entire weekend. We took the time to go back to a set up in the car that worked well for us at Daytona and we think we will be quick at Laguna as a result. Both of us have a lot of time here and its one of our favorite tracks on the west coast."

For 2008, the race will include both the production based GT machines as well as the Daytona Prototypes after series officials elected to split the groups up for the 2007 race. O'Connell commented, "This should prove to be a very different race than 2007 having the DP's mixing it up with the GT cars. I expect many cautions and we are preparing our internal race strategy accordingly, but I think it will be exciting racing for the fans."
