YAKIMA SPEEDWAY AMMENDS LOCAL SCHEDULE

YAKIMA, Washington -- Yakima Speedway officials announced a change in the near future race schedule. The May 31 st. event will feature the Late Models, both Hobby classes, the Bump to Pass racers and both Hornet classes. The race scheduled for Friday the 6th. of June has been canceled. It has been pointed out that many of the area schools will be holding graduation that evening. On June 28th. the Hobby Sportsman and the Bump to Pass classes will be added to the field of cars. More changes may be made as officials monitor the classes for participation.

May 31st will be an exciting night with the appearance of James August Smith, a well known Hollywood stuntman. Smith will be driving a car up on two wheels through a tunnel. Smith has appeared in the “Dukes of Hazzard” and will be handing out personalized pictures from the feature film, “Transformers”.

May 31st. will also be $7.00 night at the speedway. Enter the speedway before 5:00 and the admission price is only $7.00 and that includes a free hot dog and drink.
