WARN HAS MOMENTUM ROLLING INTO MONROE

AURORA, Oregon -- For Jim Warn, driver of the MJ2 Racing Chevrolet on the NASCAR Camping World Series, the drive north up I-5 will be his first to visit to what legendary NASCAR driver David Pearson described as the "Superspeedway of the West". In a season filled with firsts, Warn is excited about competing at Evergreen Speedway located in Monroe, WA in round nine for the NASCAR Camping World Series slated for this Saturday night.

"I have heard a lot about the track and know the West series has a lot of history there," Warn said. "I am really looking forward to racing at Evergreen. I know the fans will see a great show."

Though Warn has never competed at the fast 5/8-mile facility, he has shown all season that he can quickly adapt to new surroundings. He has completed 1166 laps of 1221 contested so far finishing on the lead lap in four races. He has only one DNF (did not finish) and has finished better then he started in six of eight races this season.

Coming off his second top ten performance of the season two weeks ago at Douglas County Speedway in Oregon, Warn is hoping to keep his momentum moving forward. "As we enter the final stretch this season I feel we are getting better," Warn said. "We tested really well and I felt comfortable in the car. The track is tricky to drive but it has a lot of room to race so I feel real good about our chances."

"Every race is a test for us in several ways," Warn continued. "Chuck Carruthers, Ken Bailey and the whole crew have done a great job this season. We learn new things every race that helps us and we continue to get better. The race at Evergreen is an important test for our team and I know we are up for the challenge."

Qualifying is always the first test at any event and is something the MJ2 Racing team is focused on. "Even though the track has room to race, we need to start up front," Warn said. "We have struggled qualifying this season but think we have a good setup for Monroe. I guess we'll find out Saturday night."

Warn drives a team car to Jeff Jefferson and is sponsored by MJ2 Racing, Gran Prix Imports, and Leupold Optic. The car is powered by a Chevrolet NASCAR Spec Engine and sits atop a Hopkins chassis. Warn is in his rookie campaign on the NCWS and has eight career starts with two top ten finishes this season. Warn currently sits second in the Sunoco Rookie-of-the-Year standings and 11th in the overall driver standings.

The Toyota/Concept Race Cars and Parts "150" at Evergreen Speedway is round nine of the 13-race NASCAR Camping World Series-West schedule for 2008. The race marks the 50th NCWS event to be staged at the 5/8-mile paved oval since 1964 when Dick Bown claimed the inaugural victory. 2008 is the 55th year of competition for the NASCAR Camping World Series-West.####
