LABOR DAY WEEKEND SHOWDOWN RESCHEDULED FROM AUG. 30

LAS VEGAS, Nevada — On Saturday, Sept. 6, the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will present the rescheduled Labor Day Weekend Showdown/Nerd Night from Aug. 30. The Aug. 30 event was postponed due to a power failure at the 3/8-mile facility.

Racing activity at the Bullring will begin on Friday, Sept. 5, with a test session, as well as racing for INEX Bandoleros, Legends Cars and Thunder Roadsters.

Saturday night’s stock car racing program will include twin Super Late Model/Late Model Combo class features, Legends Cars, Thunder Roadsters, Chargers, Modifieds, Bombers and a demolition derby. All tickets for Saturday, Aug. 30, will be honored on that night. Spectator gates will open at 5 p.m. with racing at 6:45 p.m.

Race fans are invited to come dressed as nerds and receive a $5 discount on adult admission. They also are encouraged to participate in the best-appearing nerd contest and nerd-themed games.

The Bullring's concession stand features a family-friendly dollar menu, including $1 hot dogs, $1 soda and $1 beer.

Adult admission is $10, $8 for senior citizens and military personnel with ID and kids 6-12 are $5. Kids 5 and under are free. Spectator gates will open at 5 p.m.
