READY TO TAKE HIS RIGHTFUL PLACEFEATHERLITE SOUTHWEST SERIES, NASCAR TOURING
Source: Wolfe Motorsports
Las Vegas…Ready to take his rightful place in the front of the field, 2001 NASCAR Late Model Champion, Jason Allen is set for a good run at Round 2 of the NASCAR Featherlite Southwest Series, Saturday night, March 23 at El Cajon Speedway. "I'm definitely looking forward to this race," says Allen. "I've run at El Cajon Speedway in the past. It is a fun place to race… tough and takes a lot of hard work on the part of the driver…but nevertheless fun. Qualifying is going to be all-important for this race. It's real hard to pass. The track is rough in spots and even the smallest mistake can put you right out of the picture. The further up you qualify, the better off you are. There will be 24 cars and we all will be running hard." While this will be only the second time Allen has raced his No. 74 Wolfe Motorsports Pontiac in the Southwest Tour, Allen is filled with the determination that breeds champions. "We had some bad luck the first race," he explains. "But that is all part of the game. You have to learn to take the good with the bad and I think we will do well this coming weekend. Our Pontiac is running great and we know we can run up front. All we need is a little good old fashioned luck." An extremely dedicated racer with an equally dedicated crew, Jason Allen is one of those young men who has carved a name for himself in a very short time. "That's what you need to do if you want people to sit up and take notice," he explains. "You have to work at it 100%…constantly working to be a better driver and to make the car better. And that's what Wolfe Motorsports is all about. We have put together a great team and You couldn't find a more dedicated group of people. They are the best." And there is no doubt about this young man's ability. Racing for just two years, he has earned two Rookie-of-the-Year awards, first in Legend Cars and then in the NASCAR Late Model Division and he took the Late Model Division Championship. His goal this year is to do the same in the Featherlite Southwest Series. And, with his winning attitude, the odds are in his favor.
