The streets of downtown Las Vegas was the stage as two CHAMP cars took to Ogden Avenue to show off their power and tight turning capabilities with Ryan Dalziel and Alex Figge reving up the 750 Horse powered Ford Cosworth motors doing burnouts, doughnuts, and passes through a portion of the 2.44 mile, 12 turn temporary street course.

The Vegas Grand Prix Fueled by Visa, will be held the weekend of April 6-8, 2007. Today the tickets went on sale for the event. The course will be open free to the public, with reserved and general admission seating tickets for purchase. Paddock, and pit passes will be available also for the race weekend. The Freemont Street Experience will be host to a wide array of different activities to keep the fans occupied, with a live HBO broadcast of a "Golden Boy" (Oscar DeLahoya) presentation of boxing, a still to be announced top live music act, a celebrity poker tournament and charity gala. The multi-year and multi-city deal with the Visa sponsorship brings fresh aspects to the Champ Car World Series, new cities on the schedule with Phoenix having a street race in December and Zhuhai China,and St. Jovite Canada, May and July respectively, all lead toward a very exciting future for the Champ car series and Las Vegas!
